The Saluting Captain is a Regular Spirit in the Golden Wasteland who offers the 
Salute Expression. The Saluting Captain is found behind the shipwreck at the center of Crab Fields. The collectibles offered by this Spirit are a 
Hair and a 
Fireworks Staff Prop.

Memory[]
The Saluting Captain can be found behind the shipwreck and near its front end at the center of Crab Fields. This Spirit is a standard memory quest with 5 memory fragments and an unlimited overall time limit. Beware the many Dark Crabs that populate the area and the single Dark Dragon patrolling the shipwreck.
As their memory unfolds, the Saluting Captain sits within the hull of the ship before leaving for the deck by climbing the stairs nearby. Here, the Saluting Captain stands at the edge of the ship with a hand raised in a solemn salute, watching as several other Spirits sail away in smaller boats along the Polluted Water.
At the end of the memory, the Saluting Captain gazes towards the sky, snapping their legs together and performing a sharp salute.

Expression[]
This Spirit offers the Salute Expression, which has 4 Levels.
- Level 1 will make your avatar kick out their right leg before snapping it back against their left, raising their right hand to hold it by their head in a salute. This action is continued for as long as you don't move your character.
- Level 2 makes the same motion as Level 1 with sparkles appearing from the saluting hand.
- Level 3 will make your avatar bend both knees before snapping up to stand straight, sharply raising their right hand to hold it by their head in a salute.
- Level 4 makes the same motion as Level 3 with sparkles appearing from the saluting hand.
The prices of the three Expression upgrades are 4 
, 5 , and 5 . Levels 3 and 4 are only available after unlocking the Spirit's Wing Buff.

Hair[]
The Hair offered by this Spirit is a close-cropped cut, costing 5 
. It is permanently available to all players after unlocking the Friendship Tree's second node.
Prop[]
The Prop offered by this Spirit is a long wooden staff with a diamond-shaped tip, costing 20 . It is a non-placeable Prop that cannot be used to decorate Shared Spaces. When activated, it shoots off a burst of colorful fireworks with a bang. After 5 shots, there is a 10 second cooldown before it can be activated again.
There are also firework Spells with similar effects to this Prop. The more common one is a Fireworks Spell that is available as a 1 Candle Blessing. It only allows ten fireworks to be fired off and does not give you a staff. The less common one is a Prop Spell available during Days of Fortune that gives you and your friends the Fireworks Staff for 30 minutes.
