That Sky Shop (stylized as thatskyshop) is the only official merchandise shop of Sky: Children of Light. First opened on July 17, 2020, the website sells a variety of pins, gift boxes, clothing, plushes, and more. The merchandise comes in waves with most of the items changing in between; TGC has said that some items may return to the catalogue. Almost all items include a thematic poem and all pins have STAR features.

Sky Assemblies[]

Sky Assemblies Logo

Sky Assemblies

Inspired by the Season of Assembly, Sky Assemblies is an event program designed to provide players with an opportunity to gather with other fans in their local communities, celebrating Sky as a shared interest and building lasting, life-enriching friendships.

At a Sky Assembly event, players will have the opportunity to safely meet other players while participating in themed activities such as participating in in-game challenges, arts and crafts, trivia, and not to mention, of course, playing Sky!

See more information on the Sky Assemblies page.

SkyFest[]

SkyFest

Inspired by Sky Assemblies, SkyFest is an event designed to celebrate Sky's fifth anniversary both in-person and in-game. On July 13 and July 14, 2024, two Sky Assemblies will take place; one in China which will be run by NetEase, and the other in Tokyo, Japan, run by the TGC community management team. As most people won't be able to attend these assemblies, SkyFest will also take place in-game.

As Sky's first simultaneously in-person and in-game Sky Assembly event, it shares a similar goal to that of the AURORA Concert; to build a celebratory, connective experience that can be enjoyed by players around the world. It’s important that this event meets the moment and honors five years worth of players, stories, friendships, and more.

r/Place Sky Project

The r/Skyplace project was a community project started by u/earthel3ment and u/s4nsky to participate in Reddit's April Fool's event, r/place, which was a social experiment that allowed Reddit users to place pixels in a shared online canvas. The event lasted for four days in 2022, and six days in 2023.

Due to the unregulated content on the canvas, r/Skyplace was not advertised on the official Sky Discord. However, Sky developers did see the project and parts of the pixel art were used as emojis on the official Sky Discord.
