The Ancient Darkness (or Ancient Memories of Darkness) is a Seasonal Entity from the Season of Shattering. The Ancient Darkness was accessed through the Dark Dragon and Darkness Plant structure in the Void of Shattering which was available exclusively during the Season of Shattering. Unlike typical Seasonal Spirits, there is no need to first relive a spirit memory to access this Entity and it does not offer an Expression. The collectibles offered by this entity are a

Mask[]
The Mask offered by this entity is dark grey and round, with a crescent-shaped hole for an eye on the left side, and a complete crack going from the top right to the bottom left, sprouting Darkness Plant on the right eye, costing 50 
from the Traveling Spirit. It was a Season Pass exclusive item during the Season, available after unlocking the Darkness Plant Friendship Tree's second node (43 
total).
Neck Accessory []
The Neck Accessory offered by this entity is a small gray Dark Crab that rests on the player's left shoulder, costing 70 from the Traveling Spirit. It was available to all players during the Season from the Dragon Friendship Tree's first node (27 total).
Hair[]
The Hair offered by this entity is inspired by a Dark Dragon, with a long spiky section of hair in the back resembling a Dark Dragon's tail, two strands of hair in the front resembling the front legs, and a black hair accessory with a red dot in the middle attached to the forehead resembling a Dark Dragon's head, costing 70 from the Traveling Spirit. It was available to all players during the Season from the Dragon Friendship Tree's third node (93 total).
Hair Accessory[]
The Hair Accessory offered by this entity is a small simplified Darkness Plant that rests to the top left side of the player's head, costing 45 from the Traveling Spirit. It was available to all players during the Season from the Darkness Plant Friendship Tree's first node (27 total).
Cape[]
The Cape offered by this entity is inspired by Darkness Plants, colored black and teal, with a waved edge, a collar shaped like a Darkness Plant, and small glowing orb ornaments around the trim, costing 80 from the Traveling Spirit. It was a Season Pass exclusive item during the Season, available after unlocking the Darkness Plant Friendship Tree's fourth node (97 total).
Prop[]
The Prop offered by this entity (also called Dark Horn or Krill Horn) is gray and horn-shaped, with a similar texture to dead wood, costing 50 from the Traveling Spirit. It is a held Prop that can be used to make a deep call. It is not considered an Instrument since Music Sheets cannot be played with it, and it cannot be used to practice in the Harmony Hall's Rehearsal Room. It was a Season Pass exclusive item during the Season, available after unlocking the Dragon Friendship Tree's second node (51 total).
Music Sheet[]
The Ancient Darkness offers 
Music Sheet #30, costing 15 from the Traveling Spirit. It was available to all players during the Season from the Darkness Plant Friendship Tree's third node (35 total). It is a song in the key of A major.
Traveling Spirit[]
During the Season of Shattering, there were two separate Friendship Trees for the Ancient Darkness' collectibles. In front of the Ancient Darkness structure, the Dragon Tree could be found, offering items mostly themed around Dark Dragons, hence the informal name. Behind it was the Darkness Plant Tree, offering items themed mostly around Darkness Plants. Despite differing from Seasonal Spirits, the Shattering entities are confirmed to return in the future [1].
This Spirit has not yet returned as a Traveling Spirit. When they do return, they will offer the same collectibles as during their Season, but in a restructured Friendship Tree with new non-Seasonal prices for all items. Any items that were SP-exclusive during the Season will become available to all players.
